Why buy the Router Raizer ?

The Router Raizer is the most convenient, dependable and versatile way to adjust the height of your plunge router. It is the only lift installed into the router, allowing height adjustments from either the base end or top end. Makes height settings faster, safer and more accurate than ever before.

Will it stand up to continuous professional use?

Yes All critical parts are hardened for years of trouble free service.

Why doesn’t it have a scale?

Due to profiles required on the work, and profiles available in router bits, test cuts are recommended to obtain the perfect height. If a test cut doesn’t fit perfectly, it is difficult to impossible to measure the work in thousandths. Adjustments on router tables are easier to make with a tweak, skosh, or a hair. A human hair measures three thousandths ( inch ) and adjustments from one to five thousandths are virtually undetectable.

Will it raise my collet higher for changing router bits?

No there is no lift available which can raise a plunge routers collet any higher. While it varies between manufactures plunge routers have a pre determined stroke which can not be increased. Using a router table insert plate with removable insert rings and bending the factory collet wrench, does allow easy above table bit changes. Free wrench bending templates are available off our web site.

Does it require maintenance or periodic adjustments?

No once installed it requires no further adjustments. Periodic lubrication of the lead screw is recommended, with lube included.

(A heavy wheel bearing grease can be substituted when needed, DO NOT USE OIL ON THE LEAD SCREW)

Can the router be used hand held?

Yes the Router Raizer is the only lift which becomes part of the router, and is designed to be used hand held.

Why would you use the Router Raizer hand held?

Hand held, plunge routers can be slow and difficult to adjust. The Router Raizer make adjustments faster and more accurately than the fixed base router.

Will it work in my router table?

Yes the Router Raizer is the only above table lift compatible with any router table, router table insert plate, or bench top router table.

Can I remove it from one router and install it in another?

Yes if your router should require replacement the Router Raizer can be removed and used in another router and original parts can be reinstalled into the router it was removed from. It cannot be moved from router to router just to do work with another router.

Are parts available?

Yes All parts are stocked, shipped same day if needed

How accurately can you adjust router bit heights?

In testing adjustments as fine as one half thousandth ( inch ) were easily obtained. All adjustment devises using a threaded lead screw type drive are capable of the same accuracy. Coarse lead screws adjust quickly but require smaller more difficult movement for accuracy. Fine lead screws adjust slowly but allow easier larger movements for accuracy. The Router Raizer uses a middle ground 16 thread per inch drive for both speed and accuracy.

Will my router still plunge hand held?

Yes all original plunge capabilities are retained using a patented sliding drive, as well as the turret stop, depth stop, plunge lock and any original features your plunge router may have.

Does it add significant weight to the router?

No only 8 oz installed which in most cases is the weight of the parts removed for installation.

If removed from the table, what’s required to use hand held?

If used with an insert plate, simply remove the dust cover and pull the router from the table. The router can be used hand held with the large insert plate attached, or remove it and replace the original subbase if required. The router can still be adjusted from the base end.

How hard is it to install?

First time installation can take approximately 1 to 2 hours depending on the router model and your abilities. Very detailed and illustrated instructions and base pattern templates are included for all routers.

Is it affordable?

Yes the Router Raizer is the least expensive lift in the world which allows height adjustments from the top of the router table. You can install one into 2 or 3 routers for the price of other lifts.

Will it work with my accessories?

Yes all factory or after market accessories are compatible. Any plunge router fitted with the Router Raizer can be used in any vertical or horizontal position, and in any machine or tool vertically or horizontally.

If used in a router table, will dust fall into the router?
